The Challenge
Before this platform, Good Character OPC's client had a very basic website — not really an application at all. There was no login and no user accounts: a visitor would simply pay and take a test, with no history saved anywhere. If the client ever wanted a report — who took the test, what they scored — they had to contact their old developer and wait, sometimes weeks, for an Excel file to be put together by hand, and even then the data wasn't always consistent. There was no way to track a student over time, no way to serve schools that needed to manage many students at once, and no way for the client to see their own numbers without going back to a developer every time.
The Solution
Replaced the old "pay and test" site with a full role hierarchy: a super admin who can onboard schools/academies, school admins who manage their own students, and students who log in to take tests — where before there was no login at all
Every test attempt is now saved with its date, time, and score, so a student can attempt multiple tests over time and their full history is always available, never lost
Automated certificate generation the moment a test is completed, available for immediate download and also sent automatically by email
Built fixed questions with proper weightage, so a student's score reflects the actual difficulty and weight of each question, not just a raw count of correct answers
Made the entire platform dynamic, including a fully self-service multi-language system — admin can add a new language like Marathi or Gujarati themselves at any time, with no developer involved
Gave super admins and school owners a live dashboard and downloadable reports on demand — how many users are active, how students are performing — replacing the old wait for a manually built Excel file
Added bulk certificate export so a school can download certificates for an entire cohort in one click
Delivered a multi-tenant admin panel where school admins see only their own institute’s students and results, enforced at the database level, while the super-admin manages the platform globally
Added flexible, tiered pricing with Razorpay checkout, supporting individual purchases as well as bulk school payments covering multiple students in one transaction
Rounded out the platform with a public content hub — blog, community events/partners, downloadable resources, and a moderated "Good Deeds" community wall
The Result
The client now has a real application with accounts and history, replacing a site that had neither
Reports that used to take weeks to get from a developer are now available to the client instantly, whenever they want them
